It's a great thrill to be working with Ana Lily Amirpour again on her second feature The Bad Batch, a post-apocalyptic tale set in a Texas wasteland where a community of cannibals reside. The film is being produced by Annapurna Picutures (Zero Dark Thirty, Her, American Hustle) and Vice Films, and has an amazing cast of Jim Carey, Keanu Reeves, Jason Momoa and Suki Waterhouse. You can read more about the film HERE.
I am extremely excited to announce that I am this years recipient of the Sally Menke Memorial Fellowship, which is awarded by the Sundance Institute to one Film Editor each year. As part of this fellowship, I have the honor of being able to learn from 3 incredible editing mentors; Dylan Tichenor (Boogie Nights, There Will Be Blood), Doug Crise (Spring Breakers, Birdman) and Stephen Mirrione (Traffic, Hunger Games). Here's a blog entry that I wrote about my time editing up at the Sundance Director's Labs this last summer, which I got to be a part of as well through the fellowship. Thanks so much Sundance!
